Against the Chill

So often I have heard the analogy of the Holy Spirit of God being like a warm blanket.  He is our comforter in times of need.  He is that quiet peace which assures our souls of our Heavenly Father’s love and care for us.  In this drawing, I tried to capture those feelings of comfort, as well as hope.  For even in the coldest hours of our lives we can have peace, we can have hope, we can look forward Against the Chill to our home in heaven, to eternity. 
2 Corinthians 1:3 "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;"

I love horses and I love the wind. 

While I was drawing this one I tried to squish my body into this position just to see if I could . . . that would be a  no.  But thankfully she could, because I love her peeking over her arm.  This is the same girl from Against the Chill.  She was such a great model for me, and such a beautiful girl!
